Original Art holds a high value as it represents the time and energy spent in the creative process, it is a record of the artist’s decisions, brushstrokes, curiosities and how far they were willing to go to bring it to fruition. It reveals their willingness to experience the highs and lows, to keep coming back, and to hold and realise a vision. A vision that at times is so intangible, and requires a willingness to risk all their progress in preference to knowing they went far enough. And then to receive it’s message and pass it on for it to continue it’s dialogue with it’s rightful next owner.

Bringing these artworks into the world as paintings was a true exploration of materials, playful mark-making and the surprise of happy accidents. Each built the capacity to move into the unknown with curiosity, and to acknowledge and accept the experience of natural resistance along the way. Building resilience for life through a willingness to be with all the emotions.
Endeavouring to share this raw expression, to resist the urge to polish and refine. Whilst it is exquisite to see “something” emerging, at times it is hard to not be seduced into bringing it’s full form to life. Candace’s greatest intent is to embrace imperfection in all areas of life, to suspend judgment, and so wants to offer a suggestion rather than a literal visual replica…In order that the viewer has the opportunity to see and interpret and imagine and become activated. A selection of unique original artworks, in acrylic and/or mixed media on various substrates- cotton canvas, wood panel & paper. Sizes and substrate are specified in the product description.
Some are framed as they have already lived a little, having been entered into exhibits locally- pictures are included of actual frames. These frames are custom-designed and you are assured of receiving a quality item that both protects and elevates the work.
Unmounted works
Unmounted works are offered as art only thereby allowing customers to have complete control in how they will present it, and are recommended to consult with a custom framer who can assist them in achieving a vision for the work in their own space.
