When it comes to reproductions we offer Giclée (high quality archival) fine art prints with two choices of surfaces- a heavyweight textured paper with matte finish, or a canvas print (semi-matte and matte).
Using archival inks designed to last more than 50 years, and careful reproduction of the original works, our fine art paper provides a texture akin to traditional water colour paper which offers the nearest thing to the original without the exclusive price-tag.
Archival Quality and Longevity
Rest assured the quality of your selection will be as good as the day it arrived for future generations to appreciate (subject to appropriate care– see blog article “What are fine art prints?”). Both require the professional services of a custom framer to either mount & frame or stretch, which will ensure the best preservation and your final vision of art on your wall achieved.
Size Options and Customization
Sizes being offered will vary according to the aspect ratio of the original artworks and are detailed in the product description. Sizes under 90cm are optimal for framing behind glass with a mat-mount, whereas sizes much more than this inevitably create logistical issues for both framer and the customer. Framing your art
A Framer's Perspective: Offering Manageable Sizes for Fine Art Prints
As an artist and now a framer, I have a unique perspective on what formats are helpful and what may become problematic. In order to make things as easy as possible post purchase I have intentionally offered my fine art paper prints at manageable, frameable sizes. (which is up to 90cm or 3ft). All larger format prints are offered ONLY on canvas and are shipped rolled in a tube.
Sizes under 90cm (3ft) length are offered on paper as these are more readily mat-mounted for framing behind glass than larger sizes, and being a framer this creates far less logistical issues than printing oversized on paper. All oversized (>90cm) options are offered printed onto canvas, and shipped rolled as this is most lightweight and practical for shipping everywhere. At their destination the canvas will need custom-stretching, and will offer a lightweight large wall art piece with impact.
Rest assured that my product is of the highest quality. Seeing common problems that my framing customers run into with their own art purchases, I can prevent these same issues from happening for my customers through some extra attention to detail. For example, clear sizing and presentation of art, preparing customers to know exactly what they are receiving, and what to do to properly present and enjoy their chosen art in their spaces.
